"Here's Alpha sporting Freddie's badges. They fit perfectly—mounting holes the same size and position as Alpha's original IMZ badges."

It's now September of 2006 and Alpha is still going just as strong as ever—slightly dirty which is what you'd expect with such a workhorse.

Lao Tou also sent this picture of Alpha taking a lunch break. What a fine bike.

Lao Tou sent these two shots of Alpha. It's evident in the bottom one that CJs can serve many purposes.

Uh oh. I'd better let Gerald tell you what happened.

"Yesterday I had a little accident with Alpha. I was riding and suddenly a child jumped out of nowhere, not even looking before crossing the street. So I chose the electric pole instead of him! Nothing happened to me but now I'll have to do some work on my sidecar bucket."

Ouch.

Alpha got a vintage PLA ammo box today.
The bracket is mounted on the sidecar's port bow.
Viola! Be sure to visit the Alpha page for more pictures of this amazing bike.

Welcome to Tianjin! Gerald took Alpha for a 260km spin without any problems whatsoever.
He did 130km in 90 minutes which includes 94 highway kilometers. Most excellent.

This is from Alpha. Gerald wants you to see the cotter pins and castle nuts, an excellent idea. He says these particular brackets aren't that easy to find in PRC anymore.

Alpha's in for some routine maintenance, mostly a good cleaning.
Decoking the heads, pistons and valves.
Gerald doesn't fool around!
I don't know what this is but I sure do like it. Is it a tool kit? Notice the placement of the horn too. That's where they were originally located.
M72-style sidecar frame...
...and a 1964 PLA-issue shovel.

Gerald is a year-round CJ rider and here's how Alpha looked when he got up this morning.
Looks like we're ready to roll.
