"So finally here is the bike and its features:

Engine: 6V OHV, 34 HP, CJ650. Built with NSK and FAG bearings and aluminum cylinders.

Gearbox: From a PLA bike all taken appart and bearings replaced with FAGs.

Rear drive: All built with brand new vintage parts, the gears are from 1971 and the casing and cover from the 1960s (PLA number 7416 factory.) The cover is early type like on the M72.

Frame: Brand new from the 1960s. from PLA stock. Has steering head and seat grease fittings.

Front fender: From a PLA bike from the 1980s. The fender has been modified to be lowered. The rear bracket is in one piece like a U.

Front fork: Brand new from the end of the 1970s, PLA issue. I replaced the brackets holding the headlight as they had three holes on each of them to hold the very early CJ blinkers.

Headlight: Type II that came out in 1970. Still made for using the BMW type ignition swtich but do not have the inside bracket for the dimmer switch and the the hole on the side for the dimmer switch cable. Note that the headlight is a new one from a PLA stock.

Fork upper plate: Round edge, made in the 1960s. Has the part serial number on tip of it.

Front and rear axle are PLA issue ones. No chrome!

All cables but the throttles are PLA issue. (PLA never used OHV engines so no PLA throttle cables. Note that it was a pain to find correct length cables as nowadays they make them too long.)

Gas tank: Built-in tool box model, a REAL ONE, not the cheap fake ones made nowadays. Gas tank is band new.

Seat: All seat brackets are PLA issue from the 1960s. The rubber is new (will be changed as soon as I find a better vintage one.)

Throttle: Good old PLA one with grease fitting. New from PLA stock.

Handlebars are PLA issue too.

Control switch: vintage Type II that came out in 1970.

Spokes: PLA issue from the 1970s.

Wheels bearing are sealed FAG.

Wheel rims and drums are PLA.

Rear rack is from a bike from 1963.

Rear fender is from the 1960s, PLA issue, has the reflector.

Taillight is from a guy in New York that has a CJ dedicated website. You might know him.

Wiring is custom made with vintage style cloth cover.

Frame toolbox is an original one, not the cheapo badly made copies.

Handlebar controls are vintage PLA issue.

Mufflers are PLA issue non-chrome from the 1960s.

Pipes are standard chrome OHV. They'll be changed as soon as possible with black painted ones as soon as the ones I ordered come in. Also will be added a crossover.

Carburetors are the correct PZ 26 for the OHV engine.

Air cleaner is small one PLA issue.

Grips for the bars are PLA issue.

Speedometer is from 1980, a very good Huang Shan, brand new.

The lever that pushes in the clutch actuating parts has a particular feature. It has a spring and ball in the middle of it to stop the clutch cable adjusting screw from moving due to vibration. It was same for the M72 motorcycle."
