Jim: "We took what may be one of
our last rides of the year last Sunday. We went to a
place in the western hills of Beijing that most of us had
never been to before. The people who live out in the
sticks met up at Luke's shop and then the 11 bikes rode
to the north of Beijing to meet up with the inner city
dwellers (7 bikes). So the turnout was pretty good at 18
bikes. Jared Malarsky and Jim
Middler—both long time Chang
riders—showed up with a couple of naked
ladies—their bikes! They both own what we refer to
as plastic Changs but they stripped all the
plastic off, made a few mods, and voila, we have what
looks an awful lot like a BMW R75/5. Amazing, what a nice
looking bike you have once you strip off all that
plastic." |
