Beijing MCs

Being the president, CEO and janitor here at CJU has its perks. Every now and then a surprise from China turns up on my porch, and the one that came January 28, 2005 was a real treat. Big Bill and Zhang at ZMW gathered up some memorabilia from local motorcycle clubs in Beijing and mailed it to me. Just feast your eyes on this stuff! (And while you're at it, feel free to send translations for the ones that still need it.)
Many MC riders in China fly flags on their bikes. This one is from China Huolong Team. It's especially nice because it incorporates the colors of the Chinese national flag.
Also from China Huolong Team, this one is even better because there's no English on it.
Another red flag, this one from Black Leopard MC. It's a beauty!
RMC—the Red Metal Club—uses these heavy duty black cotton flags.
Spirit Tribe—with a name like that you know it's a good club. This flag has seen a lot of use.
Beijing Mountain Eagle MC.
We know these guys! It's the Fashion Rider Club and you can visit their web site by clicking here.
Yinchuan China MC. This flag is really big and in vertical format, the traditional Chinese writing style. It too has seen a lot of mileage.
A flag from the Heaven & Earth Travel Club. The adler suggests this club might be oriented toward German bikes.
How do people fly these flags on their bikes? Well, I'll fly mine using this four-piece PLA mast that Zhang & Big Bill sent. I'll refinish it to match the bike before mounting it on the sidecar.

Cooool tags! Whoa! This one is from Spirit Tribe MC.
Two tags from Fashion Rider Club. The red characters Mei Guo mean USA.
Along the top these tags read Hong Yan Club. The red characters mean speed and game (or competition.) (Translation courtesy of Nick Barton.)
The gold characters on this tag say the name Jin Heng Xiang which could be a person or a business. There's also what appears to be a cell phone number. (Translation also courtesy of Nick.)
This tag is from Black Leopard MC. The character on the right means competition.
Yinchuan China registration tags, rear and front. I like the fact that some countries still require bikes to have front tags.
The first two characters mean friend. The third one is Jing, short for Beijing. The character on the right means competition.
A tag from the Heaven & Earth Travel Club.
This tag is from Beijing Mountain Eagle MC. It's the same shape and size as German tags were during the forties.
A tag from Red Metal Club. The character meaning competition appears in the lower right corner.

A souvenir flag from the Conoco rally...
...and a participant's jersey too.
And here's another flag from the Yinchuan China MC.
