You can never have too many gas tank swoosh
emblems. Here's two sets that were printed on a foil
substrate. (Holger)
Indeed a raritythe CJ900 tank emblem!
Gerald tossed in a few
emblems with my latest LRM parts order.
One sheet contains three of these Shihu logos
from the Nanchang CJ Machinery Building Company.
This is your basic CJ750 emblem. The colors
here don't appear to be very vivid due to the protective
film. This a really nice item, probably sort of rare
nowadays.
This page of emblems contains five pieces!
They're printed on a metalic substrate which my scanner
didn't like. What appears grey here is actually more like
silver foil.
This swoosh has a PLA emblem incorporated
into the design! (LRM)
This Chang Jiang 750 swoosh was
sent by DTE.
And this was sent by Li Yan
at 750 Sidecar Craft.
You can never have too many swooshes on a CJ
Web site. So here's another one. These are decals,
however, not stickers. (LRM)
There are two main types of CJ750
gas tank emblems; stickers and decals. This one is a
decal, impossible to remove.
This Chang Jiang emblem lacks the 750
designation. (Stephen Gaulin)
This Chang Hong emblem is from a
set of three. (LRM)
Chang Hong swoosh on a bike in
Finland. (Orvo Valila)
A Shihu swoosh from the Nanchang
CJ Machinery Building Company. (LRM)
This Chang Dong swoosh appeared on
the DTE water-cooled bike. XJ Motors uses it
too. It's a great looking emblem.
Another Chang Dong swoosh. (Dirk
Heck)
Chang Dong emblem on a
plastic sidecar.
Chang Dong emblem on a
water-cooled OHV CJ.
This Yang Zi Jiang emblem was on Peter
Gray's M1. He recreated the design which we
colored based on an educated guess.
This Xiangjiang swoosh is from an
eBay Chang.
Butch sent this FengTong
swoosh. They're "modernized" bikes with SV CJ
engines!
Here's another FengTong swoosh from
Nick Barton.
Speedometers
Here's an M72 speedometer.
This CJ speedometer has a different logo on
it that most of us are familiar with. (Jay
Williams)
This is REALLY NEAT! It's a CJ speedometer
with Chinese characters on it. The H inside the
trademark stands for Huangshan where high
quality speedos were made before their tooling wore out.
(LRM)
Here's another Huangshan but
without Chinese characters. (LRM)
An earlier version of the Huangshan
speedometer. Note the trademark.
These are the best speedos ever made for the
CJ. The Chinese characters on the face are really cool. (LRM)
Here's the label from a case of HS
speedometers. It dates to the early 1980s.
This a great speedometer with Chinese
characters. It's from the Jiangxi [province] Electrical
Calculating Machine Factory (roughly translated).
The lightning bolt logo is found on Jiangxi
speedomters that came out around 1990. But there are some
fakes around which have thinner lettering around the
odometer. (LRM)
Another Jiangxi speedometer face.
You see these on "authentic" R71s and M72s on
eBay sometimes. Hmmm. My first CJ speedo lasted about
3500km. My second one less than 300! They were probably
fakes.
Jiangxi logo from a CJ speedometer.
This is the box a Huangshan
speedometer was packed in. It's dated December 30, 1970.
The part reference number is ML-160. That's an
interesting variation on the trademark. (LRM)
And this is a box cover from an original Huangshan
speedometer. It was manufactured by the Huangshan
Meter Factory. The enlarged image shows the entire
cover. (LRM)
And here's a tag from a Jiangxi
speedometer. (LRM)
